Course Schedule

Mitsubishi MU-2 Ground School will consist of a 4-day class for Initial Students and a 3-day class for Recurrent Students. All MU-2 systems will be covered by LECTURE, POWER POINT PRESENTATION and CLASS PARTICIPATION, followed by ASSIGNED HOMEWORK and TESTS.

Training can also be conducted at the student's location if desired. We strive to meet your schedule.

MU-2 GROUND SCHOOL SCHEDULE
Day 1 - Initial Students
 

General Overview and History of the MU-2 Aircraft and what makes it different.

General Review of Aerodynamics, Instrument Approaches, Multi-Engine Flying, and Turbine Engine Procedures.

Preflight...yourself, the weather, and the Aircraft.

Day 2 - Initial and Recurrent
 

General (recurrent)
Fuel System
Landing Gear and Brakes
Environmental Systems
Lighting & Warning Systems

Day 3 - Initial and Recurrent
 

Power Plant
Anti-Ice and De-Ice Systems
Electrical System
Flight Controls

Day 4 - Initial and Recurrent
 

Systems Tests, Engine Shut Down, and Air Start
Performance Tests
Auto Pilot Workbook
Final Test

Flight review and icing training as required by A.D. 2003-22-07 will be received.

High altitude operations will be given if required.


MU-2 Flight Training

Flight Training will be conducted in the MU-2 aircraft. All maneuvers will be to the practical test standards for the certificate held by the applicant.

Maneuvers:
Stalls (Clean, Approach to Landing & Accelerated) Slow Flight, Steep Turns, Take-Offs & Landings (Normal, Cross Wind & Short Field) Taxing and Emergency Single Engine Procedures

Instrument Procedures:
IFR Holds, Precision (ILS) and Non Precision (VOR, NDB & CIRCLING) Approaches, Missed Approaches, and Single Engine Approaches

Flight Training Phase Check (Check Ride)
